Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of early intervention combined with shallow needling in the treatment of facial neuritis in children under the guidance of ICF-CY theory. Methods The data of 80 children with facial neuritis treated in our hospital from October 2019 to October 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, and they were divided into acupuncture group(40 cases) and combination group(40 cases) according to different treatment methods. All children were treated with hormones, B vitamins and other conventional drugs. The children in the both groups were treated with shallow needling (that is, the acupoints were quickly punctured without needle manipulation or needle retention), while the combination group was also treated with early intervention under the guidance of ICF-CY theoretical framework. The total effective rate, treatment time and House-Brakmann facial nerve function score (H-B score) before and after treatment were observed in the two groups. Results According to the statistical analysis, the total effective rate of the combination group was high, and the treatment time was short. Compared with the acupuncture group, the difference between the two groups was significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the increase in H-B score in combination group was more obvious than that in acupuncture group(P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Under the guidance of ICF-CY theory early intervention combined with shallow needling can effectively improve the effectiveness in children with facial neuritis and shorten the treatment time.
