Abstract:
Objective
To observe the clinical effect of Pediatric Purpura Rash Elimination Particles on children with Henoch Schonlein purpura and its influence on the levels of IL-4 and IL-6.
Methods
A total of 60 children with Henoch Schonlein purpura were selected from Outpatient Department of Pediatrics and Inpatient Department of Changchun University of TCM Affiliated Hospital, who were treated from January 2016 to December. They were divided into observation group and control group with 30 cases in each group according to random number table method. The control group was given Xiyanping injection and vitamin C, 10% calcium gluconate injection for intravenous symptomatic treatment. On the basis of the treatment for the control group, Pediatric Purpura Rash Elimination Particles was used in the observation group, the course of treatment lasting for 7d. IL-4 and IL-6 were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). After treatment, the clinical efficacy and the changes of IL-4 and IL-6 in the two groups were observed.
Results
The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.3%(28/30), which was significantly higher than that of the control group 73.3%(22/30), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The average serum level of IL-4 and IL-6 was lower after treatment in the two groups than before treatment, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05); in the observation group after treatment, serum level of IL-4 and IL-6 was significantly lower than the control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion
The effect of Pediatric Purpura Rash Elimination Particles is remarkable, which may adjust IL-4 and IL-6 levels.
