Abstract: Objective：To observe the clinical effect and the safety of Xiyanping combined with ribavirin in the treatment of children with hand-foot-mouth disease（HFMD）.Methods：A total of 70 HFMD children were included as the research subjects,who were treated in our hospital from Feb. 2013 to Apr. 2016,and they were randomly divided into observation group（39 cases）and control group（31 cases）.Both groups were treated with ribavirin,and Xiyanping was given to the children in the observation group. Observe the clinical effect in the two groups, as well as the time of herpes disappearance,fever abatement,cough relief and disappearance of sore throat. After 3 days,the CK-MB level,the incidence of adverse reactions,the rate of turning into critical condition and the complication rate were determined.Results：There was no statistical difference in the clinical effect between the two groups (P>0.05).The time of herpes disappearance,fever abatement,cough relief and the disappearance of sore throat was significantly shorter in the observation group,and the CK-MB level after treatment was significantly lower,the difference being statistical (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions,complications and the rate of turning into critical condition (P>0.05).Conclusion：Xiyanping combined with ribavirin has significant effect in the treatment of children with hand-foot-mouth disease,and it's also very safe.
