Abstract: As a famous Chinese physician and a tutor in the work of inheriting academic experience of prestigious Chinese physicians in China,Professor Jia Liujin thinks that the diagnosis and treatment of pertussis a refractory childhood disease should be based on the combination of Chinese syndrome differentiation with the western disease differentiation, exploring the source in literatures and performing treatment by staging The treatment should focus on spasmodic cough, and the cause should be made clear by studying symptoms to confirm the disease He believes that the spasmodic cough is mostly heat and excess syndrome, and the pathogenesis is that the phlegm blocks the air tract, causing the fire to rise Therefore,it is necessary to observe the treatment principle of “controlling the fire before removing phlegm and control fire to clear Qi” Maxing Shigan decoction combined with Qingqi Huatan decoction in modification is used in the treatment in order to achieve the effect of “clearing fire to smooth Qi and removing phlegm to relieve cough”.
