Abstract: Infectious mononucleosis(IM) in children is mainly caused by EB virus. The disease is occult. The children are often in the state of carrying virus. The clinical manifestations of IM are various, likely to be a combined infection with a variety of pathogens. At present, western medicine treatment mainly starts with antiviral and symptomatic treatment, and new anti-EBV drugs are still developing; traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, by syndrome differentiation, base on traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern pharmacological research, have also achieved great success in the treatment of children's IM. This paper mainly describes the research progress in the Chinese and Western medicine treatment for infectious mononucleosis in children in recent years.
