Therapeutic effect of rehabilitation training at home by parents on children with high risk of cerebral palsy

  • Online:2020-02-25 Published:2021-05-17

Abstract: Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of family training on children with high risk of cerebral palsy (CP) Methods A total of 60 children with high risk of CP were treated in our rehabilitation center from Jan.2016 to Jan.2018,and they were randomly divided into two groups:observation group (30) and control group (30) For the observation group,Peabody family training program was given to the children in addition to conventional treatment The therapeutic effect was compared after 3 months of treatment Results After treatment the gross motor quotient (GMQ) of the observation group was 76.93±2.32,which was higher than that of the control group (72.60±2.24),and there was statistical difference (P<0.05) The comprehensive development effect in the observation group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05) Conclusion The children have faster progress in treatment if their parents can perform family training It′s good not only for gross motor ability but also for early development of cognition of children Therefore, the parents should take part in the early rehabilitation training in a proper way
