Abstract:

Objective To explore the risk factors for anemia in premature infants. Methods A retrospective selection of 152 premature infants admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to January 2021 was performed. The basic clinical data were analyzed and sorted. According to whether anemia occurred, they were divided into anemia group(57 cases) and no-anemia group(95 cases). The basic clinical data of the two groups were counted and single factor analysis was performed, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed on the factors with statistically significant differences to screen for independent risk factors. Results Univariate analysis showed that the gestational age of premature infants in the anemia group was smaller than that of the no-anemia group, the birth weight was lighter than that of the no-anemia group, the serum Hb level at birth was lower than that of the no-anemia group, the length of hospital stay and the duration of jaundice were longer than those in the no-anemia group, and the total number of microvolume blood sampling, the total number of venous blood sampling, and the total number of blood and gas sampling were more than those of the no-anemia group. The proportion of premature infants of mothers with preeclampsia or anemia of anemia group was higher than that of the no-anemia group(P<0.05).Multi-factor unconditional Logistic regression analysis showed that long hospital stay, high total number of microvolume blood sampling, low birth weight, and low serum Hb levels at birth were all risk factors for anemia in preterm infants(OR=1.861, 2.085, 1.539, 1.870,P<0.05).Conclusion The occurrence of anemia in preterm infants is related to multiple factors. Clinical attention should be paid to effective prevention and treatment of its risk factors, in order to reduce the occurrence of anemia in preterm infants, improve various body functions of preterm infants, and promote their rapid recovery.
