Abstract: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction and communication, abnormal repetitive behaviors, narrow areas of interest, and limited ability to conduct daily activities. Because its pathogenesis is unknown, there is no effective treatment at present. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), as a non-mainstream intervention therapy, has become an important complementary system of western mainstream medicine and has been widely used in the treatment of ASD. In this paper, the current situation and feasibility of CAM therapy for ASD children were summarized by referring to relevant literatures at home and abroad in recent years, aiming to provide new ideas for the treatment of ASD children.
