Abstract: Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the integrative treatment with Chinese and western medicine for children with viral myocarditis and arrhythmia according to classification and stage. Methods:A total of 80 children admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan TCM College from July 2014 to April 2015 for viral myocarditis were included in the study, and they were randomly divided into observation group(40 cases) and control group(40 cases). Both groups were given conventional western treatment of myocardial nutrition, and the observation group was added Chinese medicine decoction differentiated by classification and stage. The treatment course was 1 month for both groups, and then the curative effect was evaluated by TCM clinical standard of diagnosis and curative effect as well as the myocardial enzyme indexes before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate of observation group was 94.7%(36/38),which was significantly higher than 70.3%(26/37) of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).All myocardial enzyme indexes were significantly lower after treatment in both groups, and the indexes in the observation group were even much lower, the difference being of statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusion:The clinical effect of integrated treatment with Chinese and western medicine is significant for children with viral myocarditis and arrhythmia according to classification and stage.
