Abstract:

Objective：To observe the clinical effect of gamma globulin at different doses in the treatment of children with severe HFMD.
Methods：A total of 96 children with HFMD at stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ were treated in Zunyi Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from June 2013 to June 2015，and they were divided randomly into two groups:the small-dose group and the large-dose group，with 48 cases in each group.The two groups were given conventional and symptomatic treatment，and in addition to that，they were injected intravenously different doses of gamma globulin，with 1 g/kg for the small-dose group and 2 g/kg for the large-dose group.Compare the time for clinical symptoms to disappear，the time of being clinically cured，the hospital stay，the complications and the hospitalization expenses between the two groups.
Results：There was no statistical difference in the time for clinical symptoms to disappear，the time of being clinically cured and the hospital stay(P＞0.05).The complication incidence was 16.7%(8/48) in the large-dose group，higher than the small-dose one，which was 2.1%(1/48)，and the difference was statistical significance(P＜0.05).The expense in the small-dose group was lower.
Conclusion：The effect of gamma globulin at different doses is similar and significant in the treatment of severe HFMD.When the dose is 1 g/kg，the treatment expense is lower and the complication incidence is lower，so it is worthy of being clinically applied.
