Abstract:

The consensus has been developed to clarify the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine approach to the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical evaluation of pediatric acute rhinosinusitis. The development methods of the consensus included the RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method, which comprised two rounds of expert questionnaire surveys and one face-to-face expert panel discussion. The main content covers scope, terms and definitions, overview,Western medicine diagnosis, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation, integrated Chinese and Western treatment, and assessments of therapeutic efficacy and safety. The consensus is intended to provide a practical reference for standardized clinical diagnosis and treatment of pediatric acute rhinosinusitis, offer methodological support for high-quality clinical research, and promote the translation and development of novel Chinese herbal medicines for children.
