Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of exercise rehabilitation training on children with hand foot mouth disease complicated with acute flaccid paralysis, and to explore its effects on lower limb muscle strength and balance function Methods A total of 109 children with hand foot mouth disease and acute flaccid paralysis were enrolled in our hospital The patients were divided into two groups according to the time of admission Among them,54 patients in the control group were routinely monitored and treated, being regularly turned over and massaged In the rehabilitation group,55 patients were given exercise rehabilitation training on this basis At the end of treatment, the muscle strength and balance function of the lower limbs of the two groups were compared Results After treatment, the proportion of patients whose lower extremity gluteus maximus, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscles were grade 4 and above was higher in observation group than in control group(P<0.05) The lower limb Fugl Meyer exercise scale(FMA) score and the Berg balance scale(BBS) score were higher after treatment, with the observation group being higher than the control group(P<0.05) The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.73%(51/55),which was higher than that of the control group(77.78%,42/54)(P<0.05) Conclusion Exercise rehabilitation training can improve the lower limb muscle strength of children with hand foot mouth disease and acute flaccid paralysis, and improve the lower limb movement and balance ability
