Abstract:
Objective
To evaluate the application value of sedation nursing in pediatric intensive care unit.
Methods
A total of 100 patients in pediatric intensive care unit admitted to Zhengzhou Children's Hospital from February 2013 to February 2015 were selected as research subjects and they were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing while the observation group received sedation nursing. The observation indexes were the sleep state and awake state of the children on the 5th, 10th and 15th days after receiving nursing intervention, and the children were scored by using a sedation score table (Ram-say).
Results
The Ram-say score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the 5th, 10th and 15th days, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Sedation nursing is helpful for children in intensive care unit to be quiet quickly, to receive better treatment and to recover as soon as possible.
