Common misconceptions and treatment strategies in occupational therapy for children with cerebral palsy

摘要:

我国儿童作业治疗发展相对滞后,仍处于区域发展不平衡、发展程度不均一的起步阶段,很多作业治疗师仅仅关注于脑性瘫痪(简称脑瘫)儿童手的表现,没有很好地应用“全人观点”。现将脑瘫儿童作业治疗中的常见误区如制定的目标空泛不具体、作业治疗师不知如何辅助脑瘫儿童、如何调整异常姿势、不理解手功能发育的重要性、如何指导家长开展家庭康复、如何进行入学准备和辅助器具适配与环境改造应用等进行阐述,以及儿童作业治疗师如何处理相应问题进行说明,只有避免治疗中的误区及掌握正确处理策略,才能更好地为脑瘫儿童服务。作业治疗在脑瘫儿童的治疗中扮演着不可或缺的角色。

Abstract:

The development of pediatric occupational therapy in China is relatively lagging and remains in the initial stage of uneven regional development and inconsistent progress. Many occupational therapists focus solely on the hand function of children with cerebral palsy, failing to fully apply the "holistic approach". This article addresses common misconceptions in occupational therapy for children with cerebral palsy, such as setting overly vague and untargeted goals, occupational therapists' lack of guidance on assisting these children, how to adjust abnormal postures, inability to understand the importance of hand function development, and how to guide parents in home rehabilitation, as well as how to prepare for school entry and apply assistive devices and environmental modifications. It also explains how occupational therapists should handle these issues. Only by avoiding these therapeutic pitfalls and mastering proper strategies can occupational therapy better serve children with cerebral palsy, as it plays an indispensable role in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy.
