Clinical effect of new pulp capping materials in pulpotomy for primary molars with deep caries

摘要:
目的
评价iROOT BP Plus用于乳磨牙深龋活髓切断术的临床效果。
方法
选择2017年3月至2018年3月沈阳市第六人民医院口腔科收治的乳磨牙深龋患儿60例,随机分为3组,根据盖髓剂的不同分为iROOT BP Plus组、MTA组、VITAPEX组,每组20例。将此3种盖髓剂分别用于活髓切断术中,比较3组的充填操作时间及术后3、6、12个月的成功率。
结果
VITAPEX组的充填操作时间短于MTA组和iROOT BP Plus组,iROOT BP Plus组的充填操作时间短于MTA组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。术后12个月复查,iROOT BP Plus组和MTA组各有1例失访,iROOT BP Plus组与MTA组成功率比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.017);iROOT BP Plus组与MTA组成功率显著高于VITAPEX组,差异有统计学意义(P≤0.017)。
结论
iROOT BP Plus在乳磨牙活髓切断术的短期临床疗效与MTA相近,在保留活髓的应用方面具有更广阔的前景。

Abstract:
Objective
To evaluate the clinical effect of iROOT BP Plus in pulpotomy for primary molars with deep caries.
Methods
A total of 60 children with deep caries in primary molars were chosen, who received treatment in Shenyang Sixth People's Hospital from March 2017 to March 2018, and they were randomly divided into 3 groups based on the pulp-capping agent: iRooT BP Plus group, MTA group and VITAPEX group,20 cases in each group. The three agents were respectively used in pulpotomy. The operation time and the success rate at 3,6 and 12 months after operation were compared among the 3 groups.
Results
The operation time of group VITAPEX was the shortest, and the operation time of group MTA was the longest, there being significant difference among the three groups(P<0.05). Twelve months after treatment, there was one lost case respectively in iROOT BP Plus group and MTA group; there was no significant difference in success rate between iROOT BP Plus group and MTA group(P>0.017),but the success rate of iROOT BP Plus group and MTA group was significantly higher than that of VITAPEX group(P≤0.017).
Conclusion
The short-term clinical effect of iROOT BP Plus in pulpotomy for primary molars with deep caries is similar to that of MTA. It has a broader prospect in the application of pulp preservation.
